Safe Passage

"The prudent sees the evil and hides himself, but the simple go on and are punished for it."Proverbs 22:3
Have you ever heard someone say, “What I don’t know won’t hurt me?” That is not true! Ignorance is NOT bliss. In July 1881, then-President James Garfield was shot by an assassin. One of his physicians, a surgeon named Dr. D. Willard Bliss, probed the wound with unsanitized hands and instruments, causing Garfield to develop an infection which led to his death two months later. Ignorance of antiseptics on the part of Dr. Bliss contributed to Garfield’s death. A Washington newspaper reporter wrote about this, and used the phrase, “Ignorance is Bliss.” I can tell you with confidence that God is always trying to teach us something.
We need to be prudent, and listen to Him, learn from Him, and respond when He desires to get our attention.
