True Faith

February 12, 2020
"Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” - JOHN 8:12

A father asked his young son to go out to the barn to get his tool chest. The boy was afraid of the dark and protested, “But it’s dark outside.” The dad handed the boy a lantern and said, “Hold up the lantern. How far can you see?” “I can see to the mulberry tree,” he replied. “Well, then, go to the tree. Now how far can you see?” “To the gate.” “Then go to the gate. Now how far?” “To the barn door!” That’s a pretty good picture of faith.

Do you have a little faith? Then go that far. And when you see a little more, go a little farther. Before you know it, you will have enough light - and enough faith – to see all the way home. It all begins with that first step of true faith in Jesus Christ.
